MetaSpace™ is the result of over three years of research and development. This multi-functional system addresses the challenges that public safety and health care planners face today. When disasters occur, Johnson Portables understands the need to be prepared to ensure the care and refuge needed for people.

MetaSpace™ is meticulously designed to offer support in times of crisis, with careful consideration given to the multi-functional aspects needed during a disaster:

• Rapid deployment – a 300 bed facility can be established anywhere within 48-72 hours.
• Hygienic – negative air-flow helps ensure a safer environment for patients.
• Adaptive – easily adjustable foundation allows use in a variety of terrains.
• Sturdy – hard wall construction can withstand winds up to 80 mph
• Utilities – ADA compliant bathrooms with fixtures. Also includes ample amount of electrical outlets, heating/air conditioning for consistent comfortable climate.
• Accessories - ADA wheelchair ramps, equipment ramps, adjustable stairs and guardrail included.

Mass Care Shelter
MetaSpace™ is capable of satisfying the basic shelter needs of large numbers of people displaced from their homes following a natural or man-made disaster. In addition to providing quarters for sleeping, eating and personal hygiene, MetaSpace™ can serve as a central place to receive and distribute relief supplies. MetaSpace™ can be rapidly deployed and assembled and is adaptable to a variety of settings, i.e. parking lot, field, or public open space.
